Irene hails from the Southern Tier region of New York where she currently resides once more. She graduated from Binghamton University with a dual B.A. in English and Environmental Studies, with a focus on environmental policy & law and renewable energy. A lifetime fan of the outdoors and nature, she discovered her passion for the environment thanks to a short-term study tour during undergrad to Iceland, where she studied renewables & sustainability at Reykjavík University and witnessed hydroelectric and geothermal power in full force across the country.

Prior to joining Trajectory, Irene had worked professionally for a non-profit solar outreach group educating and assisting homeowners on the benefits and process of putting solar on their homes in New York state, and an agricultural technology company where she worked with farmers to understand their land data to better inform farming operation decisions.

Outside of work, Irene enjoys spending time outdoors & nature photography, traveling, reading, and spending time with her cat, Indy (short for Indiana Jones).
