Gar Creek Solar
Gar Creek Solar in Kankakee was developed as an Illinois Solar for All Project in conjunction with local community leaders and is located in a low-income and environmental justice neighborhood. The project will bring much needed economic development to the community.
Partnership with POAH
In partnership with the Preservation of Affordable Housing (POAH), the South Suburban Senior Housing and South Chicago Salud Center & Senior Housing buildings in Chicago and the suburb of Harvey will act as the anchor tenants for the project. These properties were acquired by POAH in 2019, and have preserved over 221 affordable apartments for low-income seniors.

For support of the project site, Trajectory has worked with the landowners of the Gar Creek Solar site, the Economic Alliance of Kankakee County, the Kankakee Community College, local unions, and community leaders. Fosler Construction Company will lead construction and installation of the project.
