Hans Riemer

Hans Riemer is the senior external affairs manager for Trajectory Energy. His previous roles have included vice president of infrastructure advocacy for Arnold Ventures and senior advisor at the US Department of Energy’s Loan Programs Office, where he led the state engagement team. Hans served three terms, from 2010-2022, as a member of the Montgomery County Council in Maryland, where he championed reforms to build new housing, transportation infrastructure, and clean energy. Hans was previously the national youth vote director for Obama for America and political director for Rock the Vote. He serves on the governance committee for the Maryland Community Investment Corporation and on the advisory board of the Maryland Clean Energy Center.

Hans lives in Takoma Park, Maryland, with his wife Angela and their two sons. Born and raised in Oakland, California, Hans received his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
